About Drive Network Support
Meet the man behind the Secure Edge Gateway Platform
Drive Network Support wasn't created inside a boardroom or by venture capital. It was built through decades of real engineering, solving real customer problems, and refusing to give up when others would have walked away.
After rebuilding both his career and business from the ground up, founder Lennux Ferdinand set out to create something the industry had been missing for years — a platform that helps organisations finally understand what is really connected to their network.
This is the story behind the Secure Edge Gateway Platform.
SEGP is currently in development and testing in the Drive Network Support lab. It has not yet been deployed at a customer site.
Leadership
Founder Lennux Ferdinand — Barbados Bravery Medal, 2014
Lennux Ferdinand's career began on the football pitch, not in a server room. As a player he discovered a natural aptitude for technology, and over the years he built an international coaching career alongside his IT work — including time with Barbados national teams and the Chelsea FC Foundation Barbados. The discipline, teamwork and field awareness he learned on the pitch still shape how he runs Drive Network Support today.
In 1998 he founded his first UK company, "Drive Network Support (UK) Limited", delivering hands-on IT support at a time when many businesses were only just connecting to the internet. The venture was dissolved in 2005, after which Lennux relocated to Barbados. There his football coaching and community work deepened — most visibly through the 2014 rescue that earned him the Barbados Bravery Medal — while he continued IT consultancy across the island.
He returned to the UK in 2016, spent time with TRUMPF working in manufacturing technology, and in 2022 re-established the company as "Drive Network Support Limited" — deliberately dropping "UK" from the name to reflect a broader, technology-led purpose. The new company builds on three decades of engineering, coaching, rescue work and customer relationships.

More than 30 years solving real technology problems
Over the past three decades, Lennux has worked across technical support, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, manufacturing environments and critical business infrastructure.
Throughout that journey one challenge continued to appear. Organisations were investing in more technology every year, yet very few could confidently answer one simple question: what is actually connected to our network?
That question became the foundation for everything Drive Network Support would eventually build.

Built for manufacturing because that's where it began
Manufacturing remains one of the environments Lennux understands best. Years spent supporting production equipment, engineering workstations and industrial networks revealed how difficult it is to gain visibility across operational technology.
The Secure Edge Gateway Platform is being developed to help bridge traditional IT with manufacturing systems, supporting better visibility of connected environments within the validated scope.

Drive Network Support does not exist to replace Managed Service Providers.
Instead, the Secure Edge Gateway Platform strengthens existing IT providers by delivering deeper visibility, improved discovery and additional security insights they can offer to their own customers.
